Best way to Level? Empty Best way to Level?

Is it better to continuously use the same color mobs to level up my guys or to pool everything to level up one team/captain?

I currently have 7 teams of guys that are all about 40-50. (WB, Slasher, Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Purple(though WB team is just recycled units from colored teams)

In the past i used to pool everything to level up one character, but now i am always using only same color mobs and for me this way was much more effective than the first one. 
If you really need to level up a character fast than i would pump him with everything, but otherwise use the same color bonus.
