is there anyway to stop pre-emptive attack?

Hi,

I was wondering if it is possible to stop Smoker 6310 pre-emptive attack, such as using Jozu special abilities or reduce the damage with alvida special?

I tried with alvida. It seem the special abilities was ignored. I think the pre-emptive attack can't be stop or reduce.

I think it's because alvida's special is just for one turn, maybe if you use smoker or guard point chopper special it should work

Specials that are still in effect will be carried over to the next turn. Using Jozu special will not work because you have to use it in the stage before and then finish that stage, so the special will be over when you reach Smoker stage. As far as I know, most of the neutralization or "survive a hit" (Jozu, X-Drake, etc.) specials are one turn only. 80% reduction specials are also 1 turn only. That said, you can definitely use guard point chopper or smoker special to reduce the damage. You  will need at least 3,156 HP after using the special to survive the preemptive. 

A viable team would be Double Asura Zoro as captain and Usopp, Chopper, Smoker, and another DEX character as crew members.
