beating elite alvida

Hi my team is as follows.

Captain - Arlong4* lv 30
Zoro5* lv 21
Buggy4* lv 30
Kuro3* lv 13
Tashigi3* lv 13

I choose arlong4* as a friend captain

I am trying to beat the elite alvida boss but am only able to drop 25% of her health before she kills me. Am I not fighting correct? Should I be doing better? What can I do to my team to win? Also what is the best place to level up I have been using alvida veteran so far I don't know if there is an where better in loguetown or arlong park

Also would you change tashigi or kuro for 3* smoker

if you have Arlongs and have the slasher team you still have to get the glowing red orb on one of your arlongs then attack her with him on your final hit, should easily kill her. takes a bit of patience and timing, but the glowing red orb is not something that always comes when you want it to, so having golden pound usopp comes in handy when you have to wait a couple rounds for it to show up on one of your arlongs. other than that diablo sanji has a 5000hp attack which kills her instantly, helmeppo will reduce her defence....

Suggestion to make your whole match easy

Use one of the following:
Helmeppo Marine Recruit (Defense is 0 for 1 Turn)
Sanji (Level 35 version with the ability to reduce defense to half for 2 turns)
Arm Point Chopper (Reduces defense to half for 2 turns)
Blue Pirates Shooter Group Crew/Cabin Boy (Both reduce defense to half for 1 turn)

With the above team using any of the 50% or 100% defense breakers you can kill Alvida with any 4* Arlong's ability even at level 1 (Elite Alvida has 17300 defense to surpass so she can take even a level 50 Arlong's ability taking only 115 damage unless you break her defense)

All you need to do is delay for some turns to activate the abilities. So long as you can delay for that it is very simple. The other option is to just defense break and use perfect combo streak to surpass her remaining defenses. I believe your Arlong can break it easily after the defense is reduced to half

Nice advice thanks. I think I'll use my sanji and I have been doing well with just perfect combo but I do fail every now and then.
