usop evolved ?

i see tons of posts about hammer usopp but i was wondering if you evolved him to sogeking wouldn't that make up for the mistake if you didn't go hammer?
just wondering cuz I did evolve my usopp to sogeking but i had it at hammer originally
was that a mistake?

Sogeking has better stats, but his delay has a higher cooldown than Golden Pound Usopp.

I foolishly evolved my Usopp to Tabasco and now I will go for Sogeking. But only until double drop rate on Syrup Village on Thursday will give me another Usopp to evolve him to Golden Pound.

It's all about the cooldown. You have 15 turns on GPUsopp, so that makes him the best turn delayer. Since in orb- or class-teams he most likely doesnt get a boost, his stats don't really matter.
