Monster Chopper Question (not team related)

So I got mihawk, and now I'm kind of gutted I didn't farm more to level up his special, as I'm finding it really useful.(useful from the friend captain)  

Monster choppers special seems really weird, does anyone know if it's going to be worth dropping some gems to farm for the special?  Or is there bigger and better things to use my gems on.

Monster chopper's special is random amount of damage to the enemy. This skill isn't that good and is rubbish compared to mihawk's. I am going to gem for monster chopper only for the exp and not going to gem nearly as much as I did for mihawk. You could also save your gems for the upcoming sugo with Rayleigh and kid if you want as well.
