Future team build advice

Hello folks,

I wanted some input on future team focus with my current roster. I have a few elder turtles saved up and wanted to see where I should focus my leveling efforts for viable teams for the future. Any additional input on Mihawk preparation would be greatly appreciated as well, as I'm leaning towards building a strong slasher team.

Side Notes:
- I have a few Vivi friends lined up, but not sure if they're close to level 72 for a Lion Zoro combo. Sad that I leveled Laboon before reading up more, so concerned his HP is too high for Vivi/Laboon teams.
- Is WB a viable sub for a Vivi/Zoro Mihawk team? 30% HP Special seems effective, but roster cost @ 40 makes it challenging to fill the other 2 spots.

Right now, it seems your best team at the moment would be a STR team. Evolve your Blamenco to 5* as he is currently the best captain, and then include Luffy, Arlong, Alvida, and WhiteBeard and you'd have a very powerful STR team. Or, if you wanted to take a different route, you could focus on making a team with WhiteBeard as captain, but I don't how to make a WhiteBeard team. For Mihawk, I'm not entirely sure, but I think you could clear the 30 stamina with your powerful STR units.
As for a Vivi/Laboon team, to check if your health is high enough, multiply your friend's Vivi recovery by 5 for a 5* vivi and then by 2 because you only need to have half your health for Laboon to work. If you can make a team with Laboon and your health is under that limit, you'll be fine. I would recommend red crabs and red dragons as they have low health and decent atk.
I'm no expert, but I hope I helped.

Good suggestions, My Blamenco is actually 5* (typo above) so I will continue to allocate turtles for a Str team.

What's your max cost? Odds are you should just go with a whitebeard STR focused team for mihawk event, like he is the best captain for just about any raid event in the game... for the rest of the game. For a team that should work with 100 cost I would go with:

Newgate - captain (40 cost)
Arlong 4* - (15 cost)
Alvida 4* - (15 cost)
GP Usopp - (9 cost)
G2 Luffy - (15 cost)
Total cost: 94

This team will give you 4 extra turns of survival and if paired with another whitebeard you can drop mihawk down to 49% hp before even attacking. If this cost is too high then you cannot run a wb team as all of those units are fairly inexpensive (besides whitebeard obviously). I would suggest focusing on leveling the g2 luffy for that team as he has the highest room for growth (has a 1k growth in atk from lvl 1 to 99).

Key thing for if you can run this team is reading up on the pre-emptive strikes for each round as you need to keep your health low but high enough to survive the pre-emptives (dunno which rounds but it is 2k for whenever they occur in earlier rounds and 5k for mihawk stage on round 5) and putting you into the 30% health zone.

If you need another newgate captain you can add me: 555 453 261 (might have whitebeard evolved by time of the raid but not sure if I want to put effort into that or maxing out my g2 luffy for better win chance).

Edit: I took too long to write my post apparently, woops. If you can afford the cost (although I doubt you can since that would make you a crazy high p-lvl) you can use the 5 star blamenco instead of alvida as his special is really solid for an all str team.

For reference, I know that my current team can handle 40 stamina mihawk provided I manage the pre-emptives.

My team for the event:
Newgate lvl 68 - Captain (did the calculations when he was lvl 51)
GP Usopp - Max
Arlong 4* - lvl 94
Asura Zoro - lvl 70
G2 Luffy - lvl 30

Your alvida will deal more damage to mihawk than my zoro (in case you were wondering)

I just hit p-level 77 so max cost is 94. So I won't be able to swap alvida for Blamenco but i guess the damage reduction was comforting me in case I mess up along the way.

I hadn't thought much further about a dual WB team but I'll read up on pre-emptives. I didn't find many Mihawk guides that ran WB and I was worried about STR lockouts. Should I be?

Biggest concerns about the 40stam was stage 4/5 and the multiple lockout specials, and managing the 30% health, but your input is very encouraging

Mihawk deals 5k at start of his stage so you just need to make sure you survive that (and that it puts you under 30%). Most guides don't have whitebeard because he is a 24 hour event unit that is pretty damn broken. With your team only having 2 types you can just focus the dex, int and elder seahorse on your first turn and if you do you will be golden.

So yeah the main point is for earlier on to stall out so that you get double whitebeard special on stage 5 and to make sure you have over 5k health before entering stage 5. Rest is fairly straight forward keeping track of damage and stalling things.

Might as well tell ya the damage for all the preemptives: Stage 2 - 2000~ Stage 3 - 2,202 stage 5 - 5,000

Ah I must have glossed over that blog note. Guess it's time to allocate turtles for my str team and read up some more.

Hey so for some reason all the videos I have seen of the 40 stamina on JPN version seem to have a different stage 2 than what is listed on the blog. Seems like it is just a triple turtle stage and no pre-emptive hitter so it is just stage 3 and 5 you have to worry about. Sorry for the mix-up.
