Golden Pound Skill Books

I have gotten 2 skill books so far, and both didn't level up my skill. I read before that your odds increase the more you use at once, but that you can only get one skill up even if you use 5 books.

So my question is this: would it be better to save up skill books and use 5 at a time, or use them 1 at a time?

The last fortnight, I got around 30~ skill books, so expect similar numbers here.

No do not use multiple skill book. The odd is the same but you will limit yourself to only 1 skill up. I think the odd is 15% skill up from what I dig up on Japanese site. So let's say you use 5 book that will be 75% chance for 1 skill up. I would much rather go with the 15% one book at a time and hope to get lucky

This dude used 34 mihawks to skill up. From 7, he combined 4 mihawks and went to lvl 9.

Try to save up for the skill-up rate increase event from apr 1 to apr 7.

Why is he taking four every time?

since there will be a double chance skill up event planned, I assume most of all are saving up their ussop golden hammer skill books for this. Is it better to put 5 at once or 1 by 1? Is there a possibility if I put 5 that it will increase, lets say 2-3 lvls? 1 by 1 you get 5 chances.. where as 5 at once has 1 chance for the double chance to kick in. thoughts? got 5 at the moment

About skillbooks i have got only 1 by now, all the other chests i got have only cola...
Are there some enemies who have more chance to drop the skillbooks? Or is just a matter of luck? Maybe you kill some enemies before the others, like everyone I really want those pound hammer skillbooks but I'm starting to get bored

Superstition probably. Games like these bring out all sorts of random rituals. I tend to shake the phone like rolling dice when pulling the gatcha. Doesn't change the results but when it works,(get something good) it was all because of the ritual.

lol fair enough. The guy did seem to get lucky, after the first one he got all +1 (i think, didnt watch till end).

I thought that it gets maybe a better (statistic) chance of getting a special LV-lvl-up then all other setups ... So yeah. Maybe that was too much guessing

Sorry about passing fause info, but I read it on reddit forum assuming it was true. But there's something from personal experience that I want to pass along about skill up. There seem to be a lower chance on skill up if the same character or skill book power up trigger a level up. I notice it a while back, but with this Kuro and Usopp event. I am almost certain about it. Check it out and reply if you see the same patent, or the different experience.

You mean its better to not lvl up while tryiong to lvl special lvl?

noticed it in the mihawk video as well. first batch lvled his character up and no skill lv up. After it was maxed his skills went up rapidly, soyea id assume its "better" not to lv him up during a skill manual boost. bit tricky with usopp generally not being lvled much

I will try that out because I have 12 skillbooks so far

12 skillbooks!! WOW, I feel the drop rate is very low....I just get few

You are drawing up a hypothesis based on very limited sample size. In similar games like Puzzle and Dragons, you can find very large recorded data to support that the chance of level up and skill up are independent. So until we have substantial evidence to support your theory, I am going to assume OPTC works just like the other games.

Concerning the drop rate of usopp skill books, it gets stupid. I have 60~stam so 4 runs per gem. It took me 7 gems before I got my first skill book(I honest thought the skill books were a myth). since then is been a steady every 4-5 runs one will drop. Once I gotten 2 on one run. Now I have gotten a total of 20 books ( used 10 books before I found out about the skill up event). Its not true if your char levels up you won't get a skill up BTW. I can personally attest to this. But yea I proply ran elite kuro 110 times and gotten 20 skill books. I think on average its 6 runs for a skill book.

I have done around 10 runs every day since the event started, and I only got 3 books, (two in the same run). It's been a whole week since I last saw a skillbook.

So....too long didn't read...

1) Better to put 4 other than 5 or 1 by 1

2) Have usopp maxed before putting any single skill books?

3) Putting more than 1 skill books has a chance of increase a skill level by more than 1 level?

6 is max .. it starts lvl 1 so 5 upgrades
